Experience and Achievements
With over 15 years as a Consultant Gynaecologist, Dr Gupta is widely regarded as a leader in advanced laparoscopic and robotic gynaecological surgery. She has mentored colleagues and been invited to speak at both national and international conferences.
Robotic Surgery
Dr Gupta introduced robotic gynaecological surgery at Stepping Hill Hospital in 2018. In 2021, she joined St Mary’s Hospital, Manchester, in a tertiary-level role dedicated solely to gynaecology. She is a member of the Robotic Working Group at St Mary’s, helping pave the way for the introduction of robotic surgery in gynaecology across MFT.
Leadership in Minimal Access Surgery
Dr Gupta previously led a multidisciplinary team at Royal Preston Hospital specialising in complex laparoscopic pelvic surgery. Under her leadership, the service was awarded BSGE accreditation in 2014. She now contributes to the complex endometriosis team at MFT.
